Can people afford a decent life? Combines real purchasing power with how expensive the country is, price stability and how evenly income is shared.

Health & healthcare access

How long people live and whether they can get care without being ruined financially.

Jobs & employment

Whether work is available, especially for the young, and whether it is secure.

Education level & access

How educated the adult population is, how many young people reach university, and how much is actually learned in school.

Safety & security

Freedom from violent crime, political violence and arbitrary rule.

Freedom & voice

Freedom of expression, association and media, the ability to choose one's government, and whether public power is abused for private gain.

Environment & infrastructure

Clean air, safe water, reliable electricity and connectivity.
